Graduate / Junior Technical Author, Worcestershire (1304G)

Up to £25,000 p.a. (depending on experience) + bonus + benefits

Job Details

Our world-leading technology client is looking to recruit a motivated graduate / junior technical author to produce software and hardware documentation for their state-of-the-art range. You will be working within a friendly and supportive team, taking part in every stage of the documentation development process and producing end-user guides, help systems and eLearning for a varied laboratory operator audience.

You don’t need to be an experienced technical author, as our client welcomes applications from graduates and juniors who want to kick-start an exciting new career in technical communications. If you have the desire to work within a research and development environment, and make a real difference to the product and user experience, this could be the right role for you.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A good degree, preferably in a STEM-related or any heavily essay-based subject (e.g. English Literature).
  • Have a demonstrable interest in writing. Maybe you keep a blog, wrote articles for your university newspaper, or even write rules for tabletop gaming. Whatever your writing experience, we’d like to hear from you.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand highly complex technical ideas and explain them in simple, clear and concise terms.
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to learn new skills.
  • Be comfortable when speaking to people at all business and technical levels.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • A desire to take the customer’s information experience to the next level.

On offer is a salary of up to £25,000 p.a. (depending on experience), a bonus and benefits. This role is based onsite at our client’s Worcestershire office, where free parking is available.
